Located in a rambling cottage, The Larder deals in honest, rustic sustenance. Its vision is to source locally produced fare and to maintain close personal relationships with growers and suppliers. This ethos results in food made with integrity and love. Try the smoked eel, the Porcini-crusted beef fillet with slow-cooked rib, spring onions and spinach or the salad of fresh figs, gorgonzola, Serrano ham and rocket. Great hash browns as sides also and the beverage list is, as always, littered with quality New Zealand wine with drops from Central Otago, Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay.
